ITB Berlin 2025 has once again demonstrated its role as a global trendsetter for the tourism and hospitality sectors. At the ITB – the world’s largest trade fair for the travel industry – around 5,800 companies from 170 countries showcased their offerings in Berlin. Northern Germany remains an attractive destination thanks to its coastlines and lake districts. Booking figures for the coastlines of Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania are good to very good, according to a survey of tourism associations carried out by the German Press Agency. Particularly with regard to holiday lettings, it is important to respond to the changing needs of those seeking relaxation. Design is increasingly a key factor in well-being, not only in architecture but also in interior design. For example, a location-specific design concept – such as that found in a holiday resort – strengthens identity and enhances the holiday experience.
