Bades Huk – New green spaces for Hohen Wieschendorf

“The new green in Hohen Wieschendorf” is the headline used by the *Ostsee Zeitung*, *Lübecker Nachrichten* and *Mecklenburger Nachrichten* for an article on the modernisation of the golf course and its opening on 1 August.
This “new green” can also be enjoyed from the Bades Huk holiday resort. The operators of the holiday resort, who opened for the season in June, are responsible for its modernisation. Its proximity to the sea, the absolute tranquillity and the unique coastal landscape – these are the hallmarks of the Bades Huk golf course’s exceptional location. The Baltic Sea surrounds the Huk peninsula, on which the course is situated, on three sides. The course blends seamlessly into the beautiful natural coastal landscape and offers golfers sweeping views across the Baltic Sea.
Sustainability plays a key role in this. As a board member of the ‘European Institute of Golf Course Architects’, the experienced golf course designer and German senior national team player Christoph Städler, together with his team, brings his distinctive style to the course. For Bades Huk, sustainability is a central element of the entire resort concept. This is where ‘slow travel’ finds its home. Far removed from mass tourism, guests can enjoy a unique recreational experience in harmony with unspoilt nature. For this reason, the course is being designed so that not only professionals and advanced players will enjoy teeing off here, but beginners can also have a go and perhaps discover a new passion.
By autumn, the course – which was one of the first golf courses in the new federal states – is set to be modernised across all areas. Play will commence on the first nine holes on 1 August.
