The resort at a glance
Abama is a 160-hectare holiday and residential destination on the south-west coast of Tenerife, set above the Atlantic and within sight of Mount Teide. Alongside its hotels, the resort comprises apartments, villas and custom villa plots whose owners have access to the resort infrastructure and residential services. The 18-hole golf course, the tennis and padel facilities and Michelin-starred dining define the estate. Clavis International handled sales of the resort's properties in the German-speaking market.
The resort lies in the municipality of Guía de Isora on Tenerife's west coast, some 30 kilometres and around 35 minutes' drive from Tenerife South Airport. Its grounds are laid out as subtropical gardens with more than 300 plant species and run from the elevated golf course down to the semi-private beach.

Between Teide and the Atlantic
Abama occupies a west-facing slope above the Atlantic, looking across to La Gomera with the Teide National Park behind. Architect Melvin Villaroel designed the 160-hectare estate in reference to historic fortresses and kasbahs. Subtropical gardens with more than 300 plant species run between the buildings, and the mild Canary climate allows year-round use.
