Nature: a magnet for attraction

Nature: a magnet for attraction

For Germans, their own country remains one of the most popular travel destinations in 2023 – this was the finding of a recent survey by Tourlane, an online specialist in independent travel, in collaboration with YouGov, which examined travel trends for the coming year.

Destinations with high levels of tourism are ruled out from the outset by 41 per cent of all Germans surveyed; instead, there is a desire to spend more time in nature (54 per cent). It is therefore not surprising that beach holidays (22 per cent) and active holidays (16 per cent) are sought-after types of holiday, according to the study.

And as travel behaviour changes, so too does the range of options on offer.

“Our guests come here to the Mecklenburg Baltic Sea coast to enjoy the beach and the unspoilt coastal landscape…”

… emphasises Hamid M. Farahmand, holiday property expert and operator of the Bades Huk holiday resort.

“What’s interesting is that the beach is a magnet for those seeking relaxation all year round. It’s not just the typical sunbathers and beach chair enthusiasts who come to us, but also surfers, walkers, cyclists and those who, for example, want to combine golf with coastal charm. As part of our resort services, we can offer a wide range of leisure activities at Bades Huk, making this coastal idyll with its unique natural surroundings an attraction all year round. We deliberately do not want to attract hordes of seasonal tourists, but rather to share what makes this region so special.”
