They are the beating heart of a holiday resort like Bades Huk: the holiday makers! The housekeeper, the café staff, the receptionists, and the golf club manager – they all have one goal: to offer guests a completely carefree stay. They go about their work as discreetly as possible; you hardly notice them.

Whilst guests at the 77 Beach Apartments and the small hotel in the Bades Huk Baltic Sea Resort enjoy their break in beautiful natural surroundings, the holiday makers at Bades Huk are always on the go, working discreetly and quietly to ensure their guests have a relaxing stay.

As part of the summer series ‘Die Urlaubsmacher’, NDR Nordmagazin looked over the shoulders of these hard-working helpers and accompanied them in their daily work. Whether it’s a briefing with the club manager of the Bades Huk Golf Club, preparing breakfast at the Marina Café & Bistro, handling arrivals at reception or the housekeeper’s final room check – for all of them, strength lies in tranquillity!

“The more people come, the calmer I get,” emphasises Birgitt Richter, who looks after the guests’ culinary needs at the Marina Café & Bistro. Fresh berries from the local farmer adorn the breakfast quark and are served with a warm smile. And Birgitt Richter can certainly afford to do so, because thorough preparation makes it all possible. Her smile is returned many times over as soon as the guest is relaxed and happy.
